ROSE (Cambridgeshire, Newmarket)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can explain the delay in the issue of the Consular Report on the Finances of the Argentine Republic which has just been issued, but which was received by the Foreign Office in the middle of December; and whether he can arrange for the issue of similar Consular Reports with less delay in future.
§ LORD CRANBORNEThe delay was due to the Report having been referred to the author for revision. He was expected to return to England at the beginning of the year but his coming was unavoidably postponed.
