WILLIAM JONES, Member for North Carnarvonshire, rose in his place, and asked leave to move the Adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing a definite matter of urgent public importance, viz., "the severe privation and loss arising from the struggle in the Penrhyn quarry district; the recent grave recommendations of the Carnarvonshire Standing Joint Committee in reporting thereon, and the failure to put into operation the provisions of the Conciliation Act to terminate the dispute; "and, the pleasure of the House having been signified, the Motion stood over, under Standing Order No. 10, until the Evening Sitting, this day.
