HC Deb 29 June 1903 vol 124 cc779-80
MR. JOHN ELLIS (Nottinghamshire, Rushcliffe)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board what has been the result of the communication with the guardians which he proposed to make as to the death of Michael Sadler in the Wandsworth Infirmary on 20th April; and what action does he propose to take in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The guardians desired that an official inquiry should be held on this subject, and this course appeared to me to be desirable. I have accordingly directed a local inquiry to be held, and it will take place to-morrow.
