HC Deb 23 June 1903 vol 124 cc254-5
SIR CHARLES DILKE (Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will inform the House what has been the result of the arbitration on the special rules in the file cutting trade lately held in Sheffield.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Akers-Douglas.) I have received the Report of Mr. Chester Jones whom I appointed to hold an inquiry under Section 81 of the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901, with regard to the draft file cutting regulations of October 1902, and I have now made the regulations with the modifications suggested in that Report. The regulations and the Report were presented to Parliament yesterday.
