HC Deb 18 June 1903 vol 123 c1302
MR. CHARLES WILSON (Hull, W.)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, before deciding to give free advertisement in the Army Regulations to the Co-operative Union, he will consider the interests of retail grocers.

MR. MARSHALL HALL (Lancashire, Southport)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he has decided to give free advertisements in the Army Regulations to the Co-operative Union; and, if so, whether he will reconsider his decision in view of the advantage that such advertisements will give them over private traders.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) I have explained in a letter to the Grocers' Union that there is no intention of giving in the Army Regulations a free advertisement to the Co-operative Union.
