§ MR. SCHWANN (Manchester, N.)To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has yet received a Report from the Governor of Ceylon with reference to the employment of children of six years old and upwards on tea estates.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain.) I have not yet received the Report on this subject which I asked for on 7th May. The Governor has not yet had sufficient time to prepare it, as the despatch could not have reached the Colony before the 24th May.
