§ MR. CHARLES DEVLINI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he has received from various bodies, municipal and otherwise, of Galway city and county, representations of the dangers to which the fishermen are exposed in violent weather owing to their inability to reach the harbour and the loss to their business through delay in reaching the markets, and of the advantages which would accrue from the construction of a pier at Salthill; and, if so, will he state what grant has been proposed in the matter.
§ MR. WYNDHAMRepresentations to this effect have been received. The 952 County Council has been informed that it will not be practicable to expend any money on the proposed undertaking under the Marine Works Act.
