§ MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland what steps the Congested Districts Board intend to take in extending the early potato industry in South Kerry, in view of the fact that potatoes have been produced in the Cahirciveen district in the latter end of May, and considerably in advance of any other district in Ireland.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe cultivation of early potatoes in this and other districts has been promoted by the Congested Districts Board and the Department of Agriculture. The experiment is being closely watched by both Departments. When the potatoes have been placed on the market, the two Departments will consider what further steps should be taken.
