HC Deb 09 June 1903 vol 123 c320
MR. AGG-GARDNER (Cheltenham)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he would consider the advisability of extending to the cadets at the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich a share of the direct appointments to the Indian Army and to the Army Service Corps, which are given to the cadets at Sandhurst at the end of every term.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The course of teaching and training at the Academy is framed on the requirements of the Royal Artillery and Royal Engineers, the branches of the service to which the cadets are allotted. The suggestion of my hon. friend would not, therefore, appear practicable without altering the whole scheme of instruction.
