HC Deb 30 July 1903 vol 126 c901
MR. JOYCE (Limerick)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how much money was paid to owners of fishery rights since the year 1834, between Castleconnell and the Lax Weir, Corbally, Limerick; can he state the parts of the river claimed for, and the names of the claimants; whether such claims were for total or partial loss, and the amount given in each case; whether any claims were disallowed, and, if so, what was the cause; can he give the names of those who were compensated for salmon fisheries, and those who were compensated for eel fisheries.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) I will endeavour to procure this information if it is practicable to do so. An examination of transactions over a period of seventy years will be necessary, and some time must elapse before I shall be in a position to communicate with the hon. Member.
