To ask the Secretary of State for India if he will state the number of coolies recruited for labour in Assam for each year from 1898 to 1902, inclusive.

(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) The Report for 1902 has not yet been received. The following are the figures of coolies imported into Assam for labour on tea and other estates for the other years mentioned:—
