SIR MANCHERJEE BHOWNAGGREE

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether the decision of the War Office imposing an annual addition of £786,000 to the cost of British troops maintained in India, in consequence of the increase in the pay of the British soldier, was concurred in by the Commander-in-Chief, Field-Marshal Lord Roberts.
