HC Deb 23 July 1903 vol 126 c63
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he can state the number of sorting clerks and telegraphists who resigned their position in the Civil Service during the twelve months ending December 1902, and the cause of their resignation; and whether he will grant a Return naming the offices from which these men resigned.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) I am unable to grant such a Return, because the cause of resignation is not always stated.
