HC Deb 23 July 1903 vol 126 cc80-1
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

I beg to ask the Attorney-General for Ireland whether any Bill has been drafted by the Department of Agriculture, or whether any proposal has been submitted to the Department, by which powers would be conferred enabling the proper authorities to stamp out the disease of foul brood in bees, in view of the fact that the necessity exists for prompt action if this industry is to be preserved.

THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. ATKINSON Londonderry, N.)

The Department has not drafted a Bill on this subject, but it is in correspondence with the English Board of Agriculture wits a view to the preparation of a Bill. My right hon. friend has already stated that it is not practicable to introduce such legislation this session.
