To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he can state what is the value of the total imports of food into the United Kingdom from British colonies and foreign countries, respectively; and if he can give any estimate of the value of the home supply.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) The imports of food and drink into the United Kingdom in 1902 from British colonies and possessions were valued at £43,289,000, and from foreign countries at £175,427,000. The answer to the last part of the Question is in the negative.
