§ MR. VICTOR CAVENDISH (Derbyshire, W.)The work now proceeding in front of Buckingham Palace is the first portion of what is required to prepare the site for the National Memorial to Queen Victoria, and includes the levelling and laying-out of the site, and the building of the necessary retaining wall in St. James's Park. All the 1321 above work will be carried out between now and 1st November. Plans of the entire scheme and of that portion which is now being carried out have been placed in the tea room.
