To ask the President of the Board of Trade what is the length of cotton piece goods exported to foreign countries in 1872 and 1902 respectively.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) The cotton piece goods entered by the yard exported to foreign countries in 1872 and 1902 were as follows:—1872-2,205,000,000 yards; 1902-2,669,000,000. The figures for 1872 include, exports to British colonics in cases in which the amounts were too small to be separately specified.
