§ MR. POWER (Waterford, E.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether steps will be taken to enable small farmers in Ireland to obtain loans at 3½ per cent., 409 principal and interest repayable in fifty years, for the erection of dwellings on their holdings.
§ MR. WYNDHAMLegislation would be necessary to vary the conditions under which these loans are at present made. If legislation should hereafter be proposed dealing with the question of Land Improvement Loans the suggestion of the hon. Member will be considered.
