MR. CATHCART WASON

To ask the Lord Advocate if his attention has been directed to the Petition from the Orkney County Council praying that effect may be given to the recommendation of the Fisheries Commissioner; and, if so, will he state what steps he proposes to take thereon.

(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) Certain aspects of the question affecting sea trout fishing in Orkney have been engaging the attention of the Secretary for Scotland. The Petition referred to by the hon. Member has also been received and will be duly considered.
