HC Deb 07 July 1903 vol 124 c1528
MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL (Kerry, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that detectives of the Dublin police are giving annoyance to some citizens of Dublin by photographing them; and, if so, will he state who is responsible for this conduct of the police; and whether he will order it to be discontinued.

MR. WYNDHAM

I understand that one or two constables in plain clothes took "snapshots" of individuals in the streets. Complaint having been made, the police will not act in this manner in future.
