MR. HOULT (Cheshire, Wirrall)

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can now announce the names of all the members of the Committee appointed for the purpose of inquiring into the position and duties of the various Government Departments, with the view to consolidate the commercial and trade interests of the country in one Department.

Besides Lord Jersey, as Chairman, the following Gentlemen have agreed to serve: the Right Hon. Sir John Gorst, Sir James Mackay, G C.M.G., K.C.I.E., member of the India Council, Sir Charles Ryan, K.C.B., late Comptroller and Auditor-General. I may say I hope very shortly to be able to add another name.
