HC Deb 23 February 1903 vol 118 c484
MR. JOSEPH WALTON (Yorkshire, W. R., Barnsley)

To ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will lay upon the Table the Treaty, Agreement, or Correspondence conferring on His Majesty's Government the right to construct a railway in the South of Persia when railways are constructed in the North of Persia.

(Answered by Lord Cranborne.) An assurance to this effect was given to His Majesty's Government during the reign of the late Shah and has since been confirmed. It would not be desirable to present the correspondence.
