§ MR. DELANYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the number of county rural district and urban councillors and Poor Law guardians respectively, who have been disqualified within the past twelve months in Ireland in consequence of sentences of imprisonment with hard labour having been passed upon them under the Criminal Law and Procedure (Ireland) Act; and whether he proposes to introduce legislation to remove such disqualification.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe number of cases of the kind mentioned was fourteen. In answer to the concluding inquiry I would refer to my reply to the similar Question addressed to me on the 22nd October last.
