To ask the President of the Board of Agriculture what have been the amounts of the expenditure charged on estates in Great Britain for improvements under the Drainage and Improvement of Land Acts for the year 1902, in respect of farm buildings, labourers' cottages, and mansion houses respectively.

(Answered by Mr. Hanbury.) The amounts charged in the year 1902 upon estates in Great Britain under the Drainage and Improvement of Land Acts (including the Limited Owner's Residences Acts) for the works to which the hon. Member refers, were as follows:—Farm Buildings, £54,438; Labourers' Cottages, £22,612; Mansion Houses and other Residences, £29,604.
