HC Deb 05 August 1903 vol 126 cc1574-5
MR. MARSHALL HALL (Lancashire, Southport)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the attention of his Department has been called to the level crossings on the Liverpool-Southport section of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway; and, if so, whether he will order an inquiry to be held, to ascertain whether the level crossings constitute a danger to the public, before the proposed electrification of that section, which is now in course of construction, is completed.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) Representations in regard to the level crossings in question have been made to the Board of Trade from time to time. I will consider the expediency of calling the attention of an inspecting officer to the allegation of danger.
