§ MR. BILL (Staffordshire, Leek)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any allocation has yet been made of guns and rifles captured during the war in South Africa; and whether the representations that have been made by the Government of New Zealand for a full share in the distribution of trophies have been considered.
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)No allocation has as yet been made. The whole question is being carefully considered by a Committee, but the correspondence before the Committee is very large. Full regard is being given to the representations on the subject made by the Government of New Zealand.
