§ MR. KEIR HARDIE (Merthyr Tydvil)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the Settle Limestone Quarry Company, Limited, have locked out their workmen, and refuse to re-engage them unless they sign an agreement to give up membership in a trade union; and whether he will state what steps he proposes to take in the matter.
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURI am aware of the dispute at the quarries of the Craven Lime Company at Settle. Information with regard to the dispute has been furnished by both sides, and I am now expecting certain further particulars.
