HC Deb 27 April 1903 vol 121 c476
MR. SLOAN

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that national teachers whose annual examination happened to be in January, February, or March, 1901, were only paid a capitation grant of 4s. per head on the average attendance for the year ending 31st December, 1900, whereas the capitation grants since the passing of the Act amounted to 5s. per head on other years; and, if so, will the balance be paid to these teachers.

MR. ATKINSON

I am informed by the Commissioners that all teachers examined on the dates mentioned were paid a capitation rate of 5s. per head on the average attendance for the year 1900.
