HC Deb 27 April 1903 vol 121 c469
DR. FARQUHARSON (Aberdeenshire, W.)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he will state what County Councils in England and Wales have appointed medical officers; and will he specify those cases in which such medical officer gives his whole time to the duties of the office.

MR. WALTER LONG

Twenty-six County Councils have appointed a medical officer of health. In all of these cases the officer gives his whole time to the duties of his office. I shall be happy to furnish the hon. Member with a list of these cases.
