HC Deb 23 April 1903 vol 121 cc210-1
MR. H. C. RICHARDS (Finsbury, E.)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board if he will state when the Second Reading of the Bill for the rectification of the London Parliamentary Borough Boundaries will be taken.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The Bill referred to has not been introduced this session. In reply to a question on the 2nd of March last,† I pointed out that last year's Bill was introduced on the assurance that it would meet with no opposition, but that in fact it was opposed from both sides of the House. I added that I was not prepared to deal with the matter in the present session unless I was satisfied that the Bill would be treated as an unopposed measure.
