THE PRIME MINISTER AND FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR, Manchester, E.)

said that with regard to the business for next week he had been making such inquiries as he could, and he had come to the conclusion that it would be most convenient to take the Education Bill on Tuesday, and the Land Bill in the week following.

CAPTAIN DONELAN (Cork, E.)

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman would name the day.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

As early in the week as I can.

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman could not fix the Bill for the Monday and Tuesday of that week.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

said that that was the arrangement he was most anxious to carry out, but he could not give a definite pledge.

MR. DALZIEL

asked how many days would be allotted to the Education Bill.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I will make no promise.
