HC Deb 08 April 1903 vol 120 c1353
MR. CHANNING (Northamptonshire, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state approximately the numbers and total acreage of the holdings which will be excluded by the limits of £500 or £1,000 respectively, prescribed in Clause 2 of the Land Bill; and what additions would have to be made to the cash and credit aid given under the Bill for land purchase if the whole of the holdings excluded by the limits of Clause 2 were admitted.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The limit in this Clause does not apply to existing holdings, but only to the sale of parcels of untenanted land; it is not therefore possible to frame any such estimate as is asked for.
