SIR EDWARD STRACHEY (Somersetshire, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the cost of investigating titles under the Irish Laud Bill will be borne by the purchaser; and, if not, upon what fund will this cost be charged.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The cost connected with the investigation of title will be defrayed out of the purchase money, save to the extent that such investigation will be made without charge under the provisions of Clause 22 (8) of the Bill.
