§ THE PRIME MINISTER AND FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR,) Manchester, E.I expect that my right hon. friend will introduce the Budget on the first Thursday after the reassembling of the House. As to the Second Reading of the Irish Land Bill, I desire to take it at the earliest opportunity; and, though I do not name a day, I hope that neither the House nor Irish Members will think that if I take it immediately after the Budget, at the beginning of the next week, if I can secure that date, I am taking too early an opportunity for proceeding with the measure.
