EDMUND ROBERTSON (Dundee)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, whether a complete Return has been published of the endowments of voluntary (public elementary) schools; and, if not, whether he will cause such a Return, showing the capital and income of each endowment, to be prepared and published as speedily as possible.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI am informed that the preparation of such a Return would involve much hard labour and expense, and I am not prepared to grant it, but I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the Return of the income and expenditure of public elementary schools, published last year.
