§ THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN,) Worcestershire, E.Pipes and wires have been laid as far as Warrington, and nearly fifty miles of pipes have been put down between Preston and Shap, beyond which point the work has not yet extended. I am afraid that at present the Department could not obtain useful assistance from the Marconi wireless system in such an emergency as that to which the hon. Member refers.
