HC Deb 20 October 1902 vol 113 c210
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, W.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether the attention of the Board of Works or other public Department has been called to the condition of Staigue Fort, one of the stone forts in Ireland, which is situate near Castle Cove, county Kerry; and whether the necessary steps will be taken, by the erection of a door, or otherwise, to prevent the stones being dislodged by cattle.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) This fort was recently placed in the custody of the Board of Public Works by the owner. The Board is aware of its condition, and has given directions for the erection of a gate to prevent damage to the structure by cattle.
