HC Deb 27 November 1902 vol 115 cc625-6
MR. TULLY

I beg to ask Mr. Attorney General for Ireland whether instructions have been issued to the Royal Irish Constabulary in Bagnalstown to comply with Section 12, sub-Section (2), of the Petty Sessions (Ireland) Act in the case of the service of summons at the suit of the Town Commissioners.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. ATKINSON,) Londonderry, N.

On the 19th instant I informed the hon. Member for South Meath that summonses in cases in which the Town Commissioners of Bagnalstown were the complainants had hitherto been served by the police in order to convenience the Commissioners. The police have been instructed that henceforth such summonses should be served by the officer of the Commissioners.
