HC Deb 26 November 1902 vol 115 cc495-6
MR. CREMER () Shoreditch, Hoxton

To ask the Postmaster General whether, in view of the fact that in October, 1900, the staff of the Cable Room, Central Telegraph Office, forwarded a petition to him dealing with inadequacy of pay, he can say if an answer can be given now.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) No answer has yet been given as, although it is clearly impossible to grant the eneral increase of pay asked for by the petitioners, some modification of the present arrangements in the Cable Room seems desirable, and the subject is therefore still under consideration.
