HC Deb 24 November 1902 vol 115 c248
MR. TULLY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the attention of the Local Government Board has been directed to the proceedings of the Tipperary County Infirmary Committee, who have refused to carry out the directions of the Local Government auditor as to finance meetings; and whether he can state what steps will be taken in the matter.

MR. WYNDHAM

The audit of the accounts of the County Infirmary was carried out by the Board's auditor at the request of the Committee of Management. But there is no statutory duty imposed upon the Board of auditing the accounts of these institutions, nor has it any power to enforce compliance with any suggestions made by the auditor employed to examine these accounts. I have no information in respect of the concluding inquiry.
