HC Deb 21 November 1902 vol 115 cc146-7
SIR JOHN STIRLING-MAXWELL () Glasgow, College

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will state what progress has been made in the appointment of a Committee to inquire into the subject of the meteorological grant.

(Answered by Mr. A. J. Balfour.) I am not yet in a position to announce the names of the Committee who will consider the question of the administration of the grant to the Meteorological Society; but some progress has been made with the selection of the Committee, and I hope at no distant date to be able to make a statement on the subject.
