HC Deb 20 November 1902 vol 115 c20
MR. JOHN ELLIS () Nottinghamshire, Rushcliffe

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether the Architect to the Education Department is still permitted to take outside and private professional work, such as advising those responsible for the erection of schools, the plans of which have to be submitted to the judgment of the Board of Education.

THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (Sir WILLIAM ANSON,) Oxford University

This mater is being carefully considered by the Heads of the Board of Education. In the circumstances, I think the hon. Member will not wish to press his Question at the present time.
