TULLYI beg to ask Mr. Attorney General for Ireland whether he can state why the Local Registrar of Titles in Longford issued a circular to the tenant purchasers calling on them to re-register their titles; and will the Government defray the cost which this second registration has imposed on the purchasers.
§ MR. ATKINSONThe hon. Member is under a misapprehension. No circular has been issued requiring re-registration, nor has any re-registration taken place. The precise nature and legal effect of what has been done were described by me in a reply to a Question addressed to me by the hon. Member for North Long ford on the 5th of July of last year,† to which I beg to refer the hon. Member.
