§ SIR CHARLES DUKE (Gloucester shire, Forest of Dean)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he has any information to the effect that on 5th September the Amir of Afghanistan read in Durbar a direct communication from the Russian Government, or to the effect that the Governor of Afghan-Turkestan has received from the Governor of the adjoining part of Russian-Turkestan a message as to direct commercial relations across the Amu-Dania.
