§ MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether the Congested Districts Board are aware that the Mid-Ross District Committee report that the proposed road from the Dundonnell Road to Badluachrach cannot be proceeded with owing to the grant offered by the Congested Districts Board being insufficient; and, seeing that the people of the district have already constructed part of the mad, will the Congested Districts Board consider the expediency of increasing their grant.
§ THE LORD ADVOCATE (MR. A. GRAHAM MURRAY, Buteshire)The Congested Districts Board intimated to the County Council of Ross and Cromarty that they were prepared to make a grant of 75 per cent. of the estimated cost of the road in question, and in the opinion of the Congested Districts Board no case for an increase of the grant has been made out.
