§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether the attention of the Secretary for Scotland has been called to a petition to the King signed by over 2,000 crofters, cottars, fishermen, and others of the Island of Lewis, urging amongst other matters that a fast steaming gunboat should be stationed off the Island of Lewis for the purpose of protecting the interests of the line fishermen against trawlers within the three miles limit; and will the Secretary for Scotland endeavour to meet the desire of the petitioners.
