§ MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)To ask the Secretary of State for India if he will state approximately the number of acres of land in each province of India which were under cultivation in 1880 and are now lying waste.
383 (Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) I am unable to give the hon. Member the information asked for, as the agricultural statistics of the several provinces do not show the lands which were cultivated in 1880 and are now uncultivated.
