HC Deb 06 November 1902 vol 114 c259
SIR GILBERT PARKER (Gravesend)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if the Government will consider the advisability of publishing yearly a compendium of trade within the Empire; and a summary of the world's trade.

(Answered by Hr. Gerald Balfour.) The annual statistical abstracts of the United Kingdom, the Colonies, India, and foreign countries give a great deal of information bearing on the subject of the world's trade and of trade within the Empire. I will, however, consider whether it is possible, having regard to the demands upon the staff of the Department, to do something further in the direction desired by the hon. Member.
