§ MR TREVELYAN (Yorkshire, W.R., Elland)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the consent of the Governor of the Transvaal has been given or refused to the ordinance of the Johannesburg Town Council, proposing to raise the local rates on an assessment of the land values of the town.
