§ MR. M'KENNA (Monmouthshire, N.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he can state the number of applications for loans which have been made under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Act.
§ MR. WALTER LONGThe Local. Government Board have received forty-four applications from local authorities in England and Wales for sanction to loans under the Act referred to. As regards London the County Council are empowered to sanction such loans, and I am informed that they have received one application.
